Service Area — Grizzly Junk Pros
Two yards, Stamford and West Haven, and an hour's drive from either one — that's the dumpster map: 5 CT counties, the New London shoreline, and lower Westchester NY, 144 towns mapped one at a time. Structure removal doesn't follow that map. Sheds, hot tubs, decks, pools, and fences come down anywhere in Connecticut.

Dumpster rental & junk removal — where the trucks run
A roll-off is two trips: one to set it down, one to pick it up a week later. That second trip is what draws the line on this map.

I’m Justin Hubbard. I run Grizzly Junk Pros — the dba of Stamford Junk Pros LLC. We work out of two yards: Stamford covers Fairfield County and the Westchester border, West Haven covers the rest of the state through the New London shoreline. The rule I hold myself to: an hour’s drive from one yard or the other. Past that, a delivery window stops being a promise and starts being a hope, and I’d rather hand you a phone number for a hauler closer to you.
Which yard your address comes out of
Stamford runs Fairfield County end to end, Greenwich through Newtown, plus the far-northwest Litchfield corner up Route 7 — New Milford, Roxbury, Warren, Kent, Sharon, Cornwall, Salisbury are all shorter from Stamford than from the shoreline. Stamford also takes every Westchester job.
The West Haven yard takes everything else: all of New Haven County, Hartford County up I-91 and out I-84 or Route 2, the Route 8 side of Litchfield (Watertown, Thomaston, Plymouth, Bethlehem, Harwinton, Litchfield, Morris, New Hartford, Torrington, Winsted, Woodbury), Middlebury, all of in-area Middlesex out I-95 and up Route 9, and the New London shoreline as far as Old Lyme, East Lyme, Lyme, Waterford, Salem, and Montville.
Same-day or next-day, said plainly
Two yards instead of one is why the price doesn’t move by town — $447 / $547 / $647 / $899 by size, Greenwich to Torrington to Port Chester, no mileage buried in the invoice. What does move is timing. Inside about forty-five minutes of a yard, a call before 11 AM usually gets a can that day. Out at the edges — the northwest hills, the top of Hartford County, past Waterford heading east — next-day is the honest default, and it’s the label on the list below. Nobody has to guess which one they’re in.
Roll-off dumpster rental covers this whole map. So does full-service junk removal, where our two-man crew does the lifting instead of you — the town-by-town junk pages cover the Connecticut towns where crew-loaded work is a regular run for us. Anywhere else on the map, call and we’ll talk it through.
Fairfield County, CT →
Home turf — the Stamford yard sits in this county. Call before 11 and lower Fairfield usually gets a can the same day. The two Candlewood Lake towns at the north end run next-day.
Same-day when you call before 11 — lower Fairfield
Twenty to thirty minutes from the Stamford yard. Each town page walks the neighborhoods we actually work in.
Same-day when you call before 11 — inland Fairfield
Up Route 25 and Route 111, off the Merritt.
Same-day when you call before 11 — the Danbury end
Route 7 north. Call early and we usually make it the same day.
Same-day when you call before 11 — coast and Housatonic Valley
Next-day standard — Candlewood Lake north
Far-north corner of the county. We schedule these for the next morning rather than promise an afternoon we can't hold.
New Haven County, CT →
The West Haven yard sits in this county — every town here is inside thirty minutes of the gate, so same-day before 11 is the norm. Yale, Quinnipiac, SCSU, and UNH keep May and August busy.
Same-day when you call before 11 — next door to the yard
Ten to fifteen minutes out the gate.
Same-day when you call before 11 — shoreline and interior
Same-day when you call before 11 — northwest corner
Middlebury looks Litchfield from the map, but it's a New Haven County town by statute. We run it up Route 8 and I-84.
Hartford County, CT →
Out of the West Haven yard on I-91 north, I-84 east, or Route 2 — thirty-five to eighty minutes depending on the town. The closer half can go same-day if you call early; the far edge is next-day.
Call before 11 for same-day — the capital city
Call before 11 for same-day — greater Hartford
Thirty-five to sixty minutes up I-91 or I-84. Most mornings we can make it, and we'll tell you on the phone rather than guess.
Next-day standard — the county's far edge
Sixty to eighty minutes out on Route 20 or Route 2 east.
Call before 11 for same-day — river towns and Farmington Valley
The Windsors north of the city, and the valley towns west of it.
Litchfield County, CT →
Split between the two yards — Route 7 north out of Stamford for the far northwest, Route 8 north out of West Haven for everything closer in. Thirty-five to ninety minutes, and winter adds a caveat in the high towns.
Call before 11 for same-day — Route 8 north
Next-day standard — the northwest hills
Route 7 north out of Stamford. In Cornwall, Sharon, and Salisbury we confirm the morning of once there's snow on the ground — elevation up there writes its own forecast.
Call before 11 for same-day — the I-84 corridor
Next-day standard — the hill towns
Next-day scheduling, with a morning-of call in winter. Canaan (Falls Village) and North Canaan (Canaan village) are two different towns — worth saying out loud, because the mail gets it wrong too.
Middlesex County, CT →
Out I-95 east and up Route 9 from West Haven — a steady thirty to fifty minutes across the whole county, shoreline to river town to Middletown.
Call before 11 for same-day — the whole county
Drive time barely changes from one end of Middlesex to the other, so the answer is the same everywhere: call early and we'll usually make it.
New London County (partial), CT →
Shoreline only — six towns, out I-95 east. Honest limit: our dumpsters stop at the Thames — no dumpster delivery to Groton, the City of New London, Ledyard, or anything east of the river. (Our junk-removal crews do serve New London, Groton and Ledyard.)
Westchester County, NY →
Lower Westchester only, run out of Stamford on I-95, I-684, and I-287 — surface streets the rest of the way, because a roll-off truck doesn't belong on a parkway. Twenty to forty minutes. We don't regularly run north of Bedford or south of Eastchester.
Same-day when you call before 11 — the Greenwich-adjacent villages
Twenty to thirty minutes across the line.
Same-day when you call before 11 — Bedford, Lewisboro, Pound Ridge
Thirty to forty minutes up I-684.
Same-day when you call before 11 — the lower Westchester suburbs
Outside our dumpster delivery area
These are places we don’t drop a can. That’s a delivery-radius answer, not a verdict on the town — the Connecticut ones below still get structure removal, because a teardown is one visit instead of two and one visit reaches a lot farther. For a roll-off out here, a hauler with a yard closer to you will serve you better than we will, and we’ll say so.
Tolland County, CT
Vernon, Ellington, Tolland, Coventry, Andover, Bolton, Mansfield, Stafford — all thirteen towns sit more than an hour from either yard, which is farther than we'll promise a delivery window.
Structure removal: yes. Sheds, hot tubs, decks, above-ground pools, and fences come down anywhere in Connecticut — see below.
Windham County, CT
Putnam, Killingly, Plainfield, Brooklyn, Pomfret and the rest of the northeast corner. Past the hour mark from both yards.
Structure removal: yes. Sheds, hot tubs, decks, above-ground pools, and fences come down anywhere in Connecticut — see below.
New London County east of the Thames
Groton, City of New London, Ledyard, Stonington, North Stonington, Voluntown. We run the shoreline as far as Waterford and Montville and stop there.
Structure removal: yes. Sheds, hot tubs, decks, above-ground pools, and fences come down anywhere in Connecticut — see below.
Northern Westchester County, NY
Peekskill, Cortlandt, Yorktown, Yorktown Heights, Somers — north of where the Stamford yard reaches on a working day.
Far-southern Westchester County, NY
Mount Vernon, Yonkers, and southern New Rochelle. South of our regular Stamford run.
Putnam County, NY and Rockland County, NY
Putnam sits above Westchester; Rockland is across the Hudson. Neither is on our route sheet.
Right on the line?
Call (203) 219-8855. Edge addresses go case by case — existing customers and commercial accounts especially. You’ll get a straight yes or a straight no and the name of somebody closer if it’s a no.
Structure removal — all of Connecticut
The map above is a dumpster map. Structure removal isn’t bound by it. If it’s a shed in Killingly, a hot tub in Putnam, or a deck in Stonington, we come — corner to corner of the state, no county line in the way.
The reason is scheduling, not generosity. A teardown is a single visit: the crew shows up, the thing comes apart, and it leaves on the same truck the same day. There’s no can sitting in a driveway for a week and no second trip a week later. One drive we can make almost anywhere in Connecticut; two drives are what put a fence around the dumpster map.
Every one of these is quoted job by job. Size, access, what it’s built out of, whether the path to the truck is thirty feet or three hundred, and how far we’re driving — all of it moves the number, and pretending otherwise would just mean padding the quote to cover the worst case. So we look instead of guess: text or email photos of the structure and the path from it to where a truck can park, and you get a real number back. The drive is priced into that number. It never shows up as a separate line on the invoice.

Bigger teardowns — coordinated, not self-performed
A detached garage, a barn, a sunroom, a house, an in-ground pool, an interior gut, a mobile home, a commercial strip-out: those are coordinated through our licensed demolition partner, who quotes and contracts the demolition directly. We say that plainly because it’s the part most companies fudge. What stays ours on those jobs is the debris — every load goes out in our own dumpsters, on our schedule, at our posted rates. Same statewide reach; the difference is whose name is on the demolition contract.

Got a structure and a phone with a camera?
Send photos to (203) 219-8855 or start a removal quote. Two or three shots — the structure, the path out, where a truck can sit — is usually enough. Full service list on the demolition & removal page.
Yes, that includes Tolland County, Windham County, New London County east of the Thames — every Connecticut town outside the dumpster radius above.

Y “Stamford Junk Pros were an absolute life saver. I was having renovations done and didn't have a confirmed date. SJP let me know they were available a day ahead, even sometimes day of and rates were reasonable. They came on time and pick up was just as seamless. They even respond to email and questions you have in a timely manner. Avoid calling all those other junk pickup places and avoid hidden charges. Definitely would recommend and use again.”
Service area FAQs
How far do you drive a dumpster?
An hour from either yard — Stamford or West Haven — and that's a real ceiling, not a marketing line. It covers 5 CT counties, the New London shoreline as far east as Montville, and lower Westchester NY. Past an hour we'd rather tell you it's not our reach than show up at four in the afternoon with an apology.
Does the town change the dumpster price?
No. The rate card is the rate card — $447 / $547 / $647 / $899 by size, in Greenwich or Hartford or Torrington or Port Chester. Two yards instead of one is what makes that work; the average drive is short enough that nobody has to pay for somebody else's mileage. Structure removal is different — that one is quoted job by job, because a shed behind a fence in Salisbury and a shed beside the driveway in Darien are not the same afternoon.
Can you get a can here the same day?
Call before 11 AM and the answer is usually yes across lower Fairfield, all of New Haven County, lower Westchester NY, southern Hartford, coastal Middlesex, and the Lyme shoreline. The far corners — the northwest hills, the top edge of Hartford County, Waterford, Salem and Montville out east — run next-day by default, because drive time is drive time. Every town list on this page says which one you're in.
Do you take down a shed in a town you don't deliver dumpsters to?
Yes. Structure removal covers all of Connecticut — a hot tub in Putnam, a shed in Killingly, a deck in Stonington. A teardown is one visit instead of a drop and a pickup a week apart, and one visit is a drive we can make anywhere in the state. It's quoted per job from photos, with the drive priced into the number rather than tacked on underneath it.
Do you cross into New York?
For dumpsters, yes — lower Westchester only, 17 towns and villages from Port Chester up through Bedford and out to Eastchester. We're licensed and insured in both states. We don't regularly run northern Westchester (Peekskill, Cortlandt, Yorktown) or the far-southern end (Mount Vernon, Yonkers). Structure removal is Connecticut only.
My town isn't on the list. Now what?
Call (203) 219-8855. The list is the 144 towns we've mapped town by town; plenty of addresses inside the hour don't have a page yet. Tell us where you are and what the job is. If it's past the hour from both yards, you'll hear that on the call — and if it's a structure coming down rather than a can going in, the answer is probably still yes.
Not sure your address is on the map?
Call (203) 219-8855 — inside an hour of either yard and we can almost certainly get a can to you; anywhere in Connecticut and we can take a structure down. Phones answered 8 AM – 10 PM, 7 days; live team Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI phone assistant other times.
