Norwalk runs 15 to 20 minutes from our Stamford yard via I-95 east — the most varied dispatch mix in our service area. Real Norwalk jobs run from a three-piece sectional at the $179 minimum tier, and a mixed household pickup (vacuum, wine rack, wine cooler, armoire, dresser, and more) that we quoted on-site so the number matched exactly what rode on the truck. That mixed-pile pattern is common here: SoNo condos and downtown apartment turnovers, East Norwalk and Rowayton waterfront residential, Wilson Point and Cranbury single-family, the older West Norwalk housing stock, and the commercial corridor along Connecticut Avenue and Main Avenue all show up on the dispatch board in the same week. Single-mattress pickups in a Cranbury walkup one call, full-truckload purges on a Wilson Point property the next, SoNo restaurant-equipment removals along Washington Street the day after.
The truck
We show up with a 20 cubic yard truck — bigger than the standard 15-17 cubic yard industry truck, so you can toss more for less. More volume per dispatch means fewer trips, lower aggregate cost on bigger jobs, and predictable sizing math when we tier the truck-load pricing. The two-man crew rides with the truck — we do the loading, you point at the pile.
Common Norwalk junk removal calls
Single-item furniture pickups ($179 minimum tier)
A real Norwalk call shape: a three-piece sectional in one pickup — that lands at the $179 minimum. Old couches, sectionals, mattresses, and single appliances all live at the truck-load minimum.
Mixed household pickups (onsite-quoted)
A real Norwalk job shape: a mixed household pickup — vacuum, wine rack, wine cooler, armoire, dresser — quoted on-site at the walkthrough. Mixed piles get an on-site quote so the number matches what actually rides on the truck.
SoNo condo turnovers
High-rises around Washington Street and the train station. Elevator-coordinated dispatch, often working a loading-dock window with property management.
Rowayton / East Norwalk shoreline residential
Single-family residential with seasonal-furniture cycles, estate cleanouts, and renovation debris from the older housing stock.
Connecticut Avenue / Main Avenue commercial purges
Office reconfigurations, end-of-lease cleanouts, retail tenant punch-out work. See Commercial: Office & Retail.
Multi-family unit turnovers
Property-manager-coordinated turnover labor for Norwalk multi-family stock. See Commercial: Property Managers.
What jobs like these run in Norwalk
Real Norwalk job shapes from our dispatch history, priced at today’s truck-load tiers — a load like each of these quotes at the number shown.
- 3-piece sectional — $179. Truck-load minimum tier — single furniture set, driveway or living-room pickup.
- Misc household: vacuum, wine rack, wine cooler, armoire, dresser, plus more — Quoted onsite. Quoted on-site at the walkthrough so the number tracks what actually loads.
Pricing — $179 to $979 by truck-space used
Junk removal is priced by truck-space at the end of the job, not by item count. Thirteen tiers from $179 minimum (single-item or small-pile pickups) to $979 full truckload. Common reference points:
- $179 minimum — a single mattress, an old appliance, a small pile of junk by the curb
- $359 — quarter truck — typical garage cleanout or partial basement
- $559 — half truck — apartment-sized cleanout, single-room renovation debris
- $809 — three-quarter truck — single-family decluttering, large estate room
- $979 — full 20-yard truck — full-property cleanouts, whole-home work
We confirm the tier on site before the truck pulls away. No bait-and-switch up after the work starts.
All 13 truck-load tiers — Norwalk

Get a Free Junk Removal QuoteWhat we take, what we don't
On the junk truck: furniture, mattresses, box springs, appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, wine coolers, AC units — refrigerant handled per EPA rules on pickup), televisions and electronics, exercise equipment, cardboard and general household junk, garage clear-outs, basement contents, office fit-outs and file-cabinet purges, restaurant and retail equipment, estate contents, hot tubs, sheds, and decks (demolition quoted separately when needed).
Not on the junk truck: concrete, brick, asphalt, dirt, soil, sod, rock, sand, gravel, tree limbs, and stumps. Those materials don't ride in the crew truck. When a Norwalk job has any real volume of those — a Connecticut Avenue restaurant demo, a SoNo condo bathroom tile pull, a driveway tear-out — we drop a dumpster instead, sized with the correct weight allowance for heavy debris.
Hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, gasoline, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, asbestos, biohazard material, lithium batteries) never rides on the truck either. Norwalk runs a Household Hazardous Waste program through the city — we'll point you to the current drop-off channel on the phone.

A “Excellent. Office staff was very responsive and knowledgeable. Priced very competitively. It was a pleasure working with Stamford Junk Pro. The office staff was very responsive and knowledgeable. They explained their prices and terms clearly, answered all my questions, and delivered what I needed when I needed it. They were even able to provide a couple...”
A “Very professional. Pleasant experience in working with the Junk Pros team. From me emailing and sending in a picture of the items, Marc Orgera responded quickly and was able to make the process go smoothly.”
Y “It is rare to have very good customer service these days. I contacted Junk Pros a few times with various questions as it was my first time ordering a dumpster. They were patient, friendly, responsive and accurate in their information. I also found their pricing totally competitive. I would suggest to customers who want to rent to know what they are throwing away. I would have gone for a larger dumpster with greater tonnage. It may have cost more on the back end but I went over by 1,100 pounds.”

Demo work in Norwalk
Junk removal and demolition go together. About a third of our Norwalk dispatches involve some demo before the haul — kitchen cabinets coming out before the gut renovation, an old deck that needs to come down before the lumber gets hauled, a backyard shed that’s done its time. We do both in one job, one crew, one invoice.
Common Norwalk combo jobs: kitchen demo + appliance haul, deck teardown + lumber removal, shed demolition + debris hauling, basement gut work with the debris pulled the same day. Demo work is quoted separately — pricing varies by scope — but we can schedule both on the same truck visit.
