Town-by-town disposal facts we actually verified — hours, C&D rules, rates, and who answers the permit phone. Sourced from each town's own site, nowhere else.
Twelve years of hauling in this state teaches you that every town runs disposal its own way — different hours, different fees, different answers to “can I bring a torn-out deck?” This table is our field notes, cleaned up and cited. Every fact was pulled from the town’s own official website and links its source; where a town doesn’t publish something, the cell stays empty — we don’t guess, and you shouldn’t either. Rules change, so treat the source links as the authority — we last checked these pages on September 23, 2026.

Scope, honestly: this guide grows as we verify each town against its own published pages. Right now it covers 164 towns across 8 counties — not the whole state yet. Structure removal (hot tubs, sheds, decks, pools, fences) runs statewide, so every Connecticut county is in scope here and towns get added as each research round clears them. A town missing below means we haven’t verified it yet, not that we don’t work there.

What to check before a dump run
- Check the station’s hours and days first. Many stations, especially in smaller towns, are open only two or three days a week, and many close early on Saturday.
- Bring your resident permit or sticker. Most towns won’t let you in without it, and a few require a car registration showing a town address.
- Separate your load before you leave the house. Brush, metal, electronics, mattresses and bulky items usually have their own areas, and mixed loads get turned away or charged extra.
- Know what needs special handling. Paint, tires, propane tanks and anything from a commercial job each have their own rules: some stations take them for a fee, some only on set days, some not at all.
- Bring a card and some cash. Bulky items and construction debris are usually charged by weight, by the load or per item, and payment rules vary by town.
- Check the vehicle rules. Many stations limit you to a car or pickup; trailers and commercial-plated trucks are often charged extra or refused.
