Single awkward items have their own pages too — see electronics and TV disposal in CT and piano removal in CT for how those pickups are priced.

Wolcott is a weekend-project town. Raised ranches and split-levels off Route 69, the Woodtick neighborhood down by the reservoir, above-ground pools in a healthy share of the backyards — and a homeowner culture that does its own demo. A lot of our Wolcott cans get loaded by the customer over two Saturdays, not by a crew in an afternoon, which is why we talk about the 7-day window and the $15/day extension more here than almost anywhere.

Dispatch runs from our West Haven yard up Route 8 and out through Waterbury — roughly 35 minutes. Next-day windows are the standard; we confirm a real slot instead of floating a same-day maybe.

The rate card and what it includes

$447 / $547 / $647 / $899 — 10, 15, 20, and the 30/40 tier, the last delivered as two 20-yard cans (both at once, or swap the second in when the first fills). Delivery, pickup, disposal, and 7 days are inside every price. Weight allowances: 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 / 6,000 lbs. Overage: $0.10/lb, actual scale weight.

Pool season's other end

Every fall a few Wolcott above-ground pools come down for good. A cut-down pool wall, liner, and wood surround deck load clean into a 15-yard. The trap is the extras: if there's a poured pad underneath or you're re-grading the spot, that concrete and soil can't go in the can — plan a separate path for it. Same rule year-round for any project: concrete, dirt, brick, and stumps stay out.

Loading a can like you'll be weighed — because you will

DIY loaders, two habits worth the effort. Load flat and tight, not thrown — a well-packed can holds a third more than a chucked-in one. And keep it level with the 5-foot walls; over-rail loads can't legally leave your driveway. Every can we run is the same 22-foot box, so "bigger walls" isn't a thing to shop for — the size you book is the weight you're buying.

If it's a carload, not a canload

Ask Wolcott's town offices about resident disposal options for small loads — we'll tell you the same on the phone when your list sounds like one trip in a pickup.

Same rates over every line

Waterbury to the southwest, Bristol north, Southington east over the mountain, Plymouth northwest, and Cheshire to the southeast. Full details at How Pricing Works.

What customers in Wolcott are saying

Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.

Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.

It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.

Wolcott dumpster rental FAQs

When will my dumpster arrive in Wolcott?
Next-day is the booking standard — Wolcott's about 35 minutes from our West Haven yard, up Route 8 through Waterbury and out Route 69. You'll get a confirmed morning-or-afternoon window, and we hit it.
What's the most common size here?
The 15-yard at $547. Wolcott's split-levels and raised ranches generate exactly 15-yard projects — a kitchen, a finished-basement redo, a garage that's been full since the nineties. Whole-house cleanouts step up to the 20 at $647.
Can a dumpster take a pool deck or above-ground pool?
The pool wall, liner, and a wood deck, yes — cut down and stacked, that's routine. What can't ride along: the concrete pad if there is one, and any dirt from re-grading. Concrete, dirt, brick, and stumps are excluded from standard loads.
What if my project runs past the week?
Keep the can — extensions are $15/day, no repricing, no penalty. Half of Wolcott's DIY jobs stretch into a second weekend, and the math still beats rushing.
Do you charge extra for the Waterbury-line neighborhoods versus the town center?
No. One rate per size, all of Wolcott — $447 to $899 depending on the can. Address never changes the number.
