Everything in Goshen routes through the rotary — the Route 4 / Route 63 circle that's about as close to a town center as this stretch of the hills gets. Around it: the fairgrounds, a few hundred farmhouses and capes, West Goshen out along Route 4, and dairy-and-hay country running to the horizon. Goshen is high, open, and quiet, and our work here is correspondingly simple: estate cleanouts, farmhouse renovations, and barns that need emptying after decades of accumulating.

It's also an edge-of-the-map run for us — about 75 minutes from our West Haven yard, Route 8 north and Route 4 west. So the scheduling promise is the modest, keepable one: next-day windows, with a morning-of call in winter because Goshen weather and West Haven weather are frequently not the same weather.

The ladder

$447 / $547 / $647 / $899. Four tiers, and the top one is two 20-yard cans rather than one oversized box — split them across the house and the barn if that's the job. Delivery, pickup, disposal, 7 days: included. Allowances 1,000 / 2,000 / 4,000 / 6,000 lbs; overage a dime a pound; extensions $15/day.

Farm-country loading

Goshen loads trend heavy and mixed: old furniture, tools and iron, barn lumber, feed-room clutter. Iron and dense hardwood chew through weight allowances fast, so we usually steer barn purges toward the 20-yard's 4,000-lb allowance even when the volume looks like a 15. The cans are physically identical 22-foot boxes — allowance is the entire difference, so buy pounds when the load is dense.

Placement on open land

The easiest placements in Litchfield County are right here — long farm driveways, hard-packed yards, no canopy problems. Two cautions only: spring mud season, when a firm-looking field edge isn't, and overhead lines near older barns. Planks go under the wheels off pavement as standard. Doubtful spot? For loads smaller than a can

Ask the town office what resident disposal Goshen offers before booking — for a single pickup-truck load, that's the better answer, and we'd rather tell you now than at the scale.

The surrounding hills

Torrington east down Route 4, Litchfield southeast, Warren south, Cornwall west, and Norfolk north. One rate card for all of it: Connecticut roll-off rentals.

What customers in Goshen are saying

  • A
Prompt service, great communication. These guys had a decent price for a big dumpster when I ordered it on Tuesday to be delivered Saturday. I got a call to tell me they were on the way, and since I was not on the premises two calls to clarify the spot to leave it and confirm the equipment. A great...

Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.

Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.

Goshen dumpster rental FAQs

Is Goshen inside your delivery area?
Yes — edge of it, but inside. We come up from our West Haven yard via Route 8 and Route 4, roughly an hour and a quarter. That's next-day-window territory: we book a confirmed slot for tomorrow rather than gamble your afternoon on a same-day maybe.
Can you deliver during fairgrounds week or a big event?
Yes, but tell us when you book. Event traffic around the Route 4 rotary can slow a truck's turnaround, so we'll route the delivery earlier in the day. The price doesn't change — just the planning.
What do the four sizes cost?
$447, $547, $647, and $899 for the 10, 15, 20, and 30/40-yard tiers. The 30/40 is two 20-yard cans. Every price carries delivery, pickup, disposal, and a 7-day window, with $15/day extensions.
How do winter deliveries work up here?
Carefully and honestly. Goshen's elevation catches snow and ice that lower Connecticut misses, so December-through-March deliveries can slide a day when roads are bad. We call the morning of — if conditions are wrong, we push rather than risk a loaded truck on your hill.
What loads do you refuse?
Concrete, dirt, brick, and stumps in any quantity, plus hazardous materials — paint, oil, solvents, propane. Everything else from a cleanout, renovation, or barn purge is standard cargo, weighed against your size's allowance at $0.10/lb over.
