How Westchester service works in Yorktown

Licensed and insured in Connecticut. Westchester service is performed by licensed, insured local partners, coordinated by Grizzly. You still call Grizzly. Our office handles your booking, pricing, and follow-up.

Pricing. 10-yard $547 · 15-yard $647 · 20-yard $747 · 30/40-yard $999. That’s the Connecticut rate plus a $100 partner-service rate, and the same price anywhere in the county. Each includes delivery, pickup, disposal and a 7-day rental; the weight allowance, the $0.10/lb overage and the $15/day extension are the same as in Connecticut.

Booking. There’s no online checkout in New York. Send a lock-in request and the price is held. Our office calls you during business hours (Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM) to confirm your order and take payment by phone. Credit card only. Your dumpster is booked once payment is confirmed.

Timing. Next-day delivery or service is standard. Same-day is sometimes possible. Call before 10 AM to check. Phones: 8 AM – 10 PM, 7 days; live team Mon–Fri 8 AM – 4 PM, AI phone assistant other times.

Other services. Junk removal (the same truck-space pricing as Connecticut, confirmed on site before loading), demolition, general labor and specialty removals are available too, handled by our licensed local partners, coordinated by Grizzly. Grizzly Bags are Connecticut-only. County-wide details: dumpster rental in Westchester County, NY.

Yorktown picks up bulk by section, on a schedule set in advance, and the Town keeps that service to bulky household things: furniture, mattresses, appliances, rugs, lamps, bicycles. Its bulk trash rules are long and specific, and most of the length is a list of what the trucks will leave behind.

The leave-behind list

Sheetrock, plaster, roof shingles, siding, ceramic tile, toilet bowls, porcelain sinks, brick, stone, concrete, asphalt, fencing and loose wood all stay at the curb. So do tires, liquid paint, dirt and mulch. The rules state plainly that construction and demolition debris will not be accepted.

There's a volume cap too. Each pickup has to fit in the back of a pickup truck, and anything over that is left where it sits. Town Code says the pile can't go out more than two days before your section's first pickup day.

Put those two rules together and a renovation has no curb option at all. A one-bath remodel usually lands in a 10- or 15-yard box. Siding or a whole roof, in a 20.

Metal, fridges and extra pickups

Bulk metal, TVs and e-waste, and textiles each ride separate trucks. Metal pieces can't run longer than 4 feet, and pipes can't have cement in them. A refrigerator or freezer needs a paid sticker from the Refuse & Recycling Department and its doors removed. Outside the section schedule, an extra bulk pickup is available by appointment for a fee. All three figures are in the FAQ.

Yard waste

Brush and leaves have a home of their own: the Town's Organic Yard Waste Facility, free to residents with proof of residency, open in season. Big logs and stumps are refused there. It takes organics only, so a landscaping job that mixes in stone, fencing or old pavers still needs a container.

Placement

We didn't find a Town permit written for dumpsters. If the box can't go on your own property, talk to the Town Highway Department before we schedule delivery.

What customers in Yorktown are saying

“Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.”

“Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.”

“It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.”
