Most of New Fairfield's east side is Candlewood Lake shoreline, and a good chunk of it sits inside private lake communities — Candlewood Isle and its neighbors — with their own roads, their own rules, and driveways engineered for cars, not trucks. We've learned to ask about the association before we ask about the junk. If you're inside a gate, mention it when you book; a two-minute conversation up front beats a turned-around truck.
The town runs from the lake up through Ball Pond and the center along Routes 37 and 39. Dispatch comes from our Stamford depot — about an hour's run to the top of Fairfield County — which makes New Fairfield a next-day-delivery town for us. We'd rather hand you a confirmed morning window than promise same-day and call you at 3 PM with excuses.
Sizes and rates
Four packages, up-front: 10-yard at $447, 15-yard at $547, 20-yard at $647, 30/40 at $899. The 30/40 tier is delivered as two 20-yard cans — together, or one at a time with a swap when the first fills. Each rental includes 7 days, disposal, and a weight allowance that scales with size; past the allowance you pay $0.10/lb, and past day 7 an extension runs $15/day. That's the whole rate card. No zone pricing for the north-county run.
What New Fairfield projects look like from our seat
Lake-house kitchen and bath remodels, year-round conversions of older cottages, and estate cleanouts in the neighborhoods off Ball Pond Road. The 15-yard is the workhorse for the remodels; whole-house cleanouts push into the 20. Every can we run is physically identical — 22 feet long, 8 wide, 5-foot walls — so the size you pick is really the weight allowance you're buying, not a different footprint in the driveway.
Placement notes for lake lots
Sloped or hooked driveways are the theme near the water. We plank under the wheels off pavement, we need a stretch about the length of a full-size pickup truck plus room to roll the can off, and we'll read a photo of your approach before committing — text it to (203) 219-8855. If the can has to live on an association road instead of your driveway, get your association's OK first; on a public road, ask the town before booking.
If you're only clearing a few bags
Be honest with yourself about volume. A trunk-and-tailgate cleanout doesn't need a roll-off — the town has resident disposal options, and public works can tell you what they take. The can wins when the pile is measured in rooms, not bags.
Neighborhoods and nearby towns
We cover Ball Pond, Candlewood Isle and the other lake associations, and the town center on the same cadence. Across the borders: Danbury to the south, Sherman north along the lake, New Milford across the water, and Brookfield to the southeast. Full statewide pricing at How Pricing Works.

What customers in New Fairfield are saying
Y “Spectacular service, even during Covid! First, a human answered their phone immediately and was clear and courteous. How rare these days! I got an appointment for next day! As promised, received a call that crew was on its way. My mother gave me last minute permission to move a fridge, not part of original request. So I had to tell the poor guys upon arrival that there was a surprise fridge move, two in fact, one removed, one moved within house. Crew didn't flinch. Then one fridge move required its doors AND house door to come off, which they achieved with impressive skill. I'm a manager in my work life and can say their professionalism was superb. Also, important for environment, the company claims to recycle materials. A+ on every level.”
Y “Amazing experience! I would definitely hire them again! Every interaction with this company, from setting up the appointment with Justin, and then having to move it up, because my long distance home movers moved up their delivery day at the last minute, and to the appointment itself, has been a wonderful, and positive experience. When we had to change my delivery window at the last minute, Justin was incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the amazing movers, Eric and Mike, "Big Mike", were so wonderful, professional, helpful, kind, and did excellent work.”
Y “It's spring cleaning time! Who am I going to call? the same great company I called 3 times before...grizzly junk pros! I have found these guys to be experts in moving large bulky items. They are hard workers, honest, fair and extremely efficient. I won't take a chance on any other company because I know what to expect from this one. They've done my cellar, things inside the house and now will call them for cleaning out the attic. The areas I've called them for aren't easy to maneuver in...amazing how they adapt to the job at hand.”
